What happens when you’re a corrupt cop found guilty of reselling drugs you stole from crime scenes in addition to violently striking an attempted suicide victim on a hospital gurney? Well, you get a paltry 5 years in prison!
Yep, only 5 years! While there are thousands of offenders in the American prison system currently serving decades-long sentences for simply possessing small amounts of marijuana for personal use (let alone sentences for other other harmless narcotics), a filthy, scum-bag cop who not only possesses drugs but steals drugs from others and resells them for personal benefit gets a short sentence. I’ve heard of receiving a longer sentence for stealing quarters from washing machines.
I have said it once, I have said it twice, and I will say it again: the justice system in the United States is fucked.

Thanks to some complex, garbage legal language, some cops from Fresno, California who stole over $225,000 while executing a search warrant are being protected from a lawsuit filed by the people they robbed.
What does this mean? Well, the corrupt cops get to keep all of the money they stole and they will suffer zero negative consequences for their actions. There will be no investigation into their actions. Because they were police offices, they are above the law.
In the United States, police are the holiest form of human being. It is as simple as that.

I can tell that I am getting old every time I look at the music lineup for large local music festivals.
Outside Lands was always a festival I considered attending, but when I look at the lineup now not only do I not listen to any of the bands, I hardly recognize a single name. Of all the bands listed below, I am only familiar with Childish Gambino, Blink-182, Leon Bridges, and Lil’ Wayne. My desire to listen to any of those bands stands at zero.
